CargoLink is IATA’s new online business directory for the entire cargo supply chain. CargoLink currently lists more than 6,000 IATA Accredited freight forwarders (from IATA’s global CASS processing system – CASSLink), airlines, airports, GSSA’s, technology partners and cargo industry suppliers from over 80 countries. The CargoLink directory provides free access to key industry partners and suppliers, their location and service specialties*, using extensive search functionality. Modernizing the Cargo Agency Program in Jan 2017 

In collaboration with FIATA, IATA is evolving the Cargo Agency Program and will introduce a new Air Cargo Program (IATA-FIATA Air Cargo program) to better address the needs of today’s air cargo community, ensuring mutual benefits for airline and forwarders alike. IATA Cargo Agent will be required to sign the Freight Forwarder Agreement and CASS Participation Agrement to join the new program.

About IATA Cargo Agency Program

Any person involved in international airfreight and complying with appropriate license and legal requirements may apply for registration as an IATA cargo agent. The cargo agency program helps to regulate member airlines’ working relationships with their appointed sales agents. It includes the Cargo Agency Accreditation and the Cargo Account Settlement Systems (CASS).Governed by the Cargo Agency Conference (CAC), IATA’s Cargo agency program affords benefits to both airlines and agents. It provides agents with industry recognition of their financial and professional competence while airlines gain access to a worldwide distribution network of approved agents to sell their product.The relationship between member airlines and their registered cargo agents is administered under a set of IATA resolutions. These government-approved rules establish the rights and obligations of the parties, as well as the procedures and requirements for agents who wish to obtain and to maintain industry accreditation, thus becoming part of the airlines global cargo distribution network.
